What “unlimited changes” really means

The fair-use definition. We publish it because every coach asks, and we'd rather you read it than wonder.

In scope — included

  • Copy edits — anywhere on the site
  • Photo swaps and additions
  • New testimonials and reviews
  • Pricing and lesson rate updates
  • New sections (about, FAQ additions, blog posts)
  • Booking link updates
  • SEO updates (meta, alt text, schema)
  • Schedule and availability changes

Out of scope — quoted separately

  • Full redesigns (one per year is included; more, we'll quote)
  • Brand-new features outside the standard set
  • Migrating you off another platform
  • Ghostwriting more than ~500 words a month
  • Custom integrations (CRM sync, LMS, payment processing on-site)

One major change per week is comfortable. More than that, we'll batch it. We're not going to play “gotcha” with you.

The process, end to end

Four steps. Roughly two to three weeks. You're actively involved for about 30 minutes total.

Launch

We point your domain, install analytics, submit your sitemap, and start watching for issues. We handle every change request from here on.

What happens if you cancel

The boundaries, in plain language. Read this before you sign up so you know what you're agreeing to.

Your domain
Yours, day one.
We never hold it. If you cancel, you keep it.
Your content
Yours.
Copy, photos, testimonials — exported on request, no questions asked.
Design source files
Stays with us.
That's how the monthly economics work. Nobody's been upset about this once we explain it.
Hosting
Ends with cancellation.
We help you migrate to another host so the site keeps running on your domain.

No tricks. We want you to stay because the site works, not because you're locked in.

Frequently asked

The questions every coach asks before signing up. If we missed yours, book the 15-minute call and we'll answer it live.

Pricing & Billing

Yes. No setup fee, no per-change fee, no surprise hosting bill. The $99 (or $199 for Academy) covers design, build, hosting, SSL, domain registration if needed, and unlimited change requests forever.

Not at launch. We may add one once we have a sense of churn. If annual is important to you, ask on the discovery call — we can sometimes work something out for academies.

Any card Stripe accepts. ACH for academies on the $199 tier, by request. We don't take checks.

There is a 1-year minimum commitment. After month 12, cancel from your account at any time. Your site stays live until the end of the billing period you've already paid. Then hosting stops, your domain is yours, and we help you migrate the content if you want to keep the site running elsewhere.

The Build

Two to three weeks for a Solo site. Week one is design, week two is build, week three is your review. Fastest we've ever shipped was eight days. Academy sites take a week or two longer because there's more to coordinate.

We do, based on the form you fill out at checkout plus the welcome form after payment. You review the first draft, change what's wrong, send it back. Most coaches are surprised how close the first draft is — we ask the right questions up front, so you're not writing anything from scratch.

Helpful but not required. We work with what's available — Google Business Profile photos, social media, your facility's headshots, swing-camera stills. If you want to invest, we'll recommend a local photographer ($300-600 typical for a one-hour shoot).

You see a working preview at your-name.gcw-preview.com — a real site, not a screenshot or PDF. You can scroll, click, type into forms. Nothing goes live without your approval.

We iterate. The second round is included. The third is included. We don't ship something you don't love — that's the point of preview rounds. We've never had a coach reject a final design.

Ongoing

Yes. Email us, a designer makes the change, it's live in 1-3 business days. Our average client sends about two requests a month. Heavy users send ten or more. We don't count.

Out of scope: full redesigns (one per year is included; more than that, we'll quote it), brand-new features outside our standard set, ghostwriting more than ~500 words a month. Everything else is unlimited.

1-3 business days. Last month our median was 26 hours. Same-day turnaround happens often if you ask before noon Pacific.

Yes. Per-page meta, schema, internal linking, technical SEO are part of the build. If you want us to add city-specific landing pages later ("golf lessons in Mesa"), that's a change request like any other.

Technical

Yes. If you own it, we point it. If you don't own it yet, we register it for you in your name. You own it either way.

Most of our clients come from Squarespace. We don't migrate from it — it's faster to start fresh. On launch day we point your domain at the new site. Your old Squarespace stays yours to cancel.

We set up redirects from your old URLs to the new ones so SEO equity doesn't evaporate on launch. Bookmarks and inbound links keep working.

We add a prominent 'Book a Lesson' button on every page that links out to your existing booking tool — Calendly, Acuity, TeeSnap, whatever you already use. We don't replace your scheduler or rebuild it. If you don't have one yet, we'll recommend one. You keep full control of availability and payments.

We optimize what's there during the build (photos, hours, services, posts). We don't claim or manage it ongoing — that's a different scope. We'll show you what to do.
